Mets Police Morning Laziness: MLB plays Hide The Playoff Baseball Game

SLACKISH REACTION:   Lots to break down here….I will start in the middle….

Headed off to the couch at 9:28 and Mrs. Mets Police was tying up the DVR with two shows.  I wound up catching a minute of Murphy Brown.  Who the hell approved that mess?   Who likes the whole unnatural style of delivery, punch line, joke, pause, unnatural style of delivery, repeat.  Who watches that crap?

Anyway, she wasn’t taping that so it freed up the tuner and I decided I would see how the baseball game was going.

TBS?   Nope.

ESPN?  Nope

Is this on Fox?  Nope there’s a football game.

Um er…..FS1?   Nope.

Um….where else might this be….um, er…….found it on MLB Network.

I’d like to think I am reasonably media savvy and do kind of blog about baseball all day and am on the internet all day.   Why are these games hard to fine?

Back to the beginning, I was at the bar with some friends around 8:45pm and they had the baseball game on.  The bar, not the friends.  Bottom, of the 9th!  2-2!  I quickly did some math and wondered why this game was still on, didn’t it start at 5?   This ten inning 3-2 game went 4:04 and featured 6 pitchers each for both teams.  Who the hell enjoys that?  The Brewers SP came out after three hitless innings. What are we even doing?

And I saw a pitcher on the Rockies wearing Zero. as his number.  He immediately became my least favorite player in the league.  He also got the loss.  Good.

Anyway nothing good in the above baseball.  Nothing good.

Oh, almost forgot, I thought baseball couldn’t possibly take on football which is why they played on Monday afternoon?  Did MLB forget that Thursday NFL is a thing?  None of this makes any sense.

One thing newer readers may not know is the name of this blog comes from two things of which I am a big fan, the Mets and the Police.  As The Police have not done anything since 2007, kinda like the Mets (rim-shot) I rarely mention them.  But today we have Police News!!

The Police – Every Move You Make, the career-spanning vinyl boxset will be released November 16! All five studio albums, plus a 12-song bonus disc of non-album b-sides, remastered at Abbey Road Studios, using half-speed mastering process and pressed onto heavyweight, 180gm vinyl. Pre-order today: https://ThePolice.lnk.to/EveryMoveYouMake

Not very exciting as any Police fan owns all these songs.  Surely there must be a tape with some outtakes or an unreleased track.  I’d take a CD of alternate versions of existing songs at this point.  Maybe someone recorded a concert in 1980 or something?  Come on Police!  Stupid cheap Sumners.

On to Mets things!!!

The 2019 Queens Baseball Convention will be held Saturday, January 19 2019 at Katch Astoria.  Details as I get them, but I have heard unannounced things.  You are gonna wanna be there.

Day 2 of who should we add to the Mets Hall Of Fame….Gary Cohen.

Original content – @mediagoon wonders whatever happened to the metal detectors that were coming to Citi Field?   See AAIMBR, if you TRY you can come up with stuff.

A soccer stadium at Willets Point?  For NOT-MLS?  Why?

NOT LINKING:  Still even more random articles about GM speculation.  Nobody knows anything, save your time.
