Is Davey Johnson a Hall of Famer, and if so will the Mets retire number 5?

As you know I love chaos.  You may not know I love Davey Johnson!

Well, the Hall of Fame has something called the Today’s Game ballot, and Davey Johnson is on it!

Manager Davey is 31st in wins with 1399.  He holds a snazzy ,562 winning percentage

Wilbert Robinson (WHO??) is 30th, with a .500 career percentage and HE is in the Hall.

Davey’s winning percentage makes him 21st All Time, right behind Hall of Famer John Ward. (Who?_

So let’s put Davey in the Hall, not just for Davey’s sake, but to make life in Queens difficult.

Davey was already shockingly named the All Time Mets Manager during the celebration of the 50th Anniversary – and HOWIE was on that committee!

If Davey makes Cooperstown, there’s that pesky retired numbers rule the Wilpons came up with.  How would you NOT retire number 5.  For Davey.

And you see where I am going with this…

Davey for the Hall!  Who says no?
