Matt Harvey has a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Angels that could be worth up to $14 million with performance bonuses, league sources tell Yahoo Sports. Deal is pending a physical. @Feinsand was first with the news.

Now I have several thoughts.
1. This sucks because Matt Harvey recap posts are some of the most popular things I do. You guys know I can’t stay up late. I might have to pay that kid Niko some bucks to do them.
2. Matt Harvey living in the LA area? THIS…..WILL…..NOT……GO…..WELL.
The best thing that happened to Matt was sitting in an apartment in suburban Kentucky last summer far from the temptations of the big city.
Greater-LA has much temptier temptations than New York. I expect Matt will have more burritos and nosebleeds than he did in Ohio. And he’s 3000 miles from family and friends. This is probably THE WORST area for him to live.
I think many of us kind of suspected that Matt loves burritos more than was let on when he overslept, and there are a lot of models in LA who would like to grab some Mexican food with him between those parties that his publicist will get him invited to. Oh and he can pitch sometimes too.
THIS WILL NOT GO WELL. But hey, congrats TDK. Those of us with blogs look forward to your adventures in Disneyland and all its thrill rides.
