I got a text from a friend who was like did you see the Jessica Mendoza news? I had not. My initial reaction was like…oh OK that probably makes SNY better, I like her TV work and……wait WHAT?
I’m busy today but come on guys…come on….Jeff do you not see what is going on? Do you not see it?
Official: The Mets hired ESPN’s Jessica Mendoza as a baseball operations adviser.
Mendoza will focus on “player evaluation, roster construction, technological advancement and health and performance,” the Mets say.
She will continue to work for ESPN.

Of note on Jessica Mendoza: She went to Stanford, like Brodie Van Wagenen, and is repped by CAA, Van Wagenen’s former employer.
“She is a world-class athlete and experienced television analyst with an extremely high baseball IQ,” BVW said in a statement.

I guess if I keep pointing stuff out I will never get a press release again from my favorite baseball team, but that’s OK.
More tonight on this when I have headspace.
