Hey this is an interesting tweet from the Pirates’ equipment manager….

Hmmmm. So while it’s not caps it is SOMETHING.
Do you guys think if I give the Mets 4.5 months notice (when is September 11 this year, does anyone know? It always seems to sneak up on the Mets.) do you think the Mets could figure out a way to put responder patches on jerseys?
It’s not like MLB can claim that it’s not allowed.
Anyway, if anyone knows how to contact someone at the Pirates please pass this information along to the Mets.
Tonight we honor area first responders with a special City of Pittsburgh Department of Public Safety patch.
A huge THANK YOU to all the brave men and women who work to keep us safe every day. pic.twitter.com/MrHkIYaQBA
