SLACKISH REACTION: I actually watched some baseball yesterday. Not too much, after all, baseball is quite boring. The Mets lost.
We will not have a relatively quiet Monday with some attacks on Mickey Callaway who is no better nor worse than he’s been since his Hodges Moment last February. Then the Giants come to town and the Mets will suddenly look better, all of course because of Mickey’s post-game frustration after the game. All of this has happened before and will happen again. Speaking of Mickey, smiling after Matz gave up a monster home run is a bad look.
