Lets flash back to yesterdays Morning Laziness..

SLACKISH REACTION: What a great night for Team Vargas. 11 years into this site maybe you guys will start listening to me. Murph, Harvey, Mickey Hodges, Vargas…at some point I get street cred, no? Resist #TheNarrative that the other stupid sites all copy from each other and realize I know what I am talking about.

In other news…
This Alon20 shirt is laaaaaame.
The T Shirt Guy gave me a nice shoutout on a podcast. On said podcast they twisted the knife a little on Gary Cohen.
Speaking of Gary, he called two out of three HRs pretty well last night.
The shoutout by TTSG (The T-Shirt Guy) led to some new followers, so let me explain The Morning Laziness. Adam Rubin used to write a fabulous Morning Briefing which was great for guys like me, a ones to shop to see what’s going on. After he stopped covering the Mets I thought I would challenge myself to do something along those lines. Unlike Adam, I like sleep and am not staying up until 1am to do it, so I do mine when I wake up. Hence a Slacking Reaction vs. his Rapid Reaction. But wait…there’s more.

There are some pretty lame sites out there. One ripped off Morning Briefing and didn’t even bother to come up with a new title. That’s inspires the point behind the Laziness – I filter out crap you don’t need to click on and I don’t click bait you (except when I blatantly title my post CLICKBAIT). From there we have the NOT LINKING section in which I don’t link to their stories.
NOT LINKING: Fathers Day gifts for Mets fans. Lame. The Mets need to play Dom Smith. Lame. What else do you need to know? Are you going to click on that and find some life changing essay about Dom? 5 Players the Mets COULD trade! That one is from SNY’s Formerly Mets Blog which loves COULD articles. They COULD trade Syndergaard I bet. They COULD trade him to the Yankees today. I COULD offer SNY $1M for the website today and then fire everyone on my first day as the new owner.
Anyway I welcome to the new followers. You love me now, but you will hate me when the Mets win 5 in a row and do the exact same content and you decide I am “too negative.” When the Mets are good I am told all I do is complain. When the Mets are bad I am told I am a sellout for not leading the boycotts. Whatever, been here blogging 12 seasons. In the meantime, enjoy.
The Mets play at 12:10 today which is stupid. Seriously, if I told you that the NBA scheduled a game at noon on a Thursday you’d be like WTF? For some reason we accept this in baseball. Blah blah camps and school kids and the Giants have to travel blah blah.
