SLACKISH REACTION: The Mets are red hot! So hot that people are looking at the GB column in the Wild Card standings and ignoring that the Mets are well under .500 and that they’d have to pass nearly the entire league of teams who play each other and when those teams play each other one of the teams in front of the Mets will win. LGM!
I know I am so negative and stuff but man are people stupid. A 4 game winning streak and the Mets might was well print playoff tickets. What happened to the boycotts and the Sell The Team tees? Should I cancel my comedy tour?
There’s also a narrative in which people seem to think teams are lining up to acquire Lyin’ Todd Frazier (sad!) and that just solves everything.
Meanwhile, I have upset everyone but asking if the Mets should trade Alonso and/or McNeil.
I know everyone loved Alonso’s moonshot but Gary Cohen also had a terrible call on this HR.
