ICYMI the Mets whored out the foul poles to advertising. It looks terrible!!!
You may sometimes see me joke about “Mets Police Plus.” The background on that is that Yahoo and the Mets had announced they were going to do a subscription app. One day I had posted some Mets news before one of the people who was going to be one of the main personalities on the App, and mentioned how I out hustled him from my deck. Said person got very upset on twitter. So I took to doing Mets Police Plus tweets, which was me just regurgitating stuff from the press notes that are readily available. Anyway, Yahoo is not going forward with the app.
I don’t ever want anyone to lose their job (well, maybe the occasional General Manager) but I wonder how long Yahoo will pay – I think it’s THREE – people to cover the 2nd most popular baseball team in New York. My guess is not long.

SLACKISH REACTION: Cano is fixed. He’s back baby! Just in time to lead us to third place! This is just like getting Cespedes in late July! I can’t wait to hear the nonsense about how he’s found his bat and all is right in the world. It’s the worst trade in franchise history, and there have been some bad ones. However, Cano may have fixed Gary Cohen!
Nobody seems to have any knowledge of what Al Leiter and Jessica Mendoza actually do for the Mets.
