Today is the 20th Anniversary of the Mercury Mets. This could have been an awesome promotion, especially since they are playing the Pirates who were also their opponent in the original game. The Mets, in the off-season, said they would acknowledge it but they will not be wearing the jerseys. I think this is a missed opportunity, especially since yet another season is lost. Whatever, I am happy to not have to go to Queens today.
SLACKISH REACTION: I didn’t love the game and was kind of bored, which really surprised me because I have only watched like three Mets games in a month because of my schedule and theirs – but at least it was 2 and a half hours. Today is a beautiful day for a night game. Silly Mets.
There isn’t anything else to tell you about except the Mets seem hell bent on trading Syndergaard for some reason. To me, either trade them ALL or keep him. Just trading him makes little sense to me. There’s a NOT LINKING in the Post that explains that Wags cannot afford to mess up this trade. Yes, we know.
