Mets Police Morning Laziness: Mets within two of Indianapolis .500s!

Thanks to the leadership of the House and Senate, particularly Senator Bob Menendez, there were no terrible acts of people being killed by beach umbrellas this weekend.  Imagine living in a world of unregulated beach umbrellas and waking up in a world where there is one story after another about people being killed by beach umbrellas.  It is god that Bob has the courage to take on the Beach Umbrella Industry and not bog down in arguments about what the founding fathers intended in terms of you having shade.

SLACKISH REACTION:  I did not see any of the game.  Seems like it was a fun one.

With the win, the Mets climb to within two games of the Indianapolis .500s, and are just 4 back in the Fake Pennant Race (get your t-shirt here and sport my fundraiser for the North Shore Animal League.)

I don’t think the FPR is exciting Mets fans as much as “Pete Alonso” and Wags hoped – the Mets put tickets on-sale for $7.   That’s not a Full House move.

Quiet Sunday morning as most are in the post-newspapers era.

The Mets play at 1:30.  The Yankees’ Noah Syndergaard is on loan and will start for the Mets.
