Mets Police Morning Laziness: man mad about being on fringe of playoffs puts Mets on fringe of playoffs

SLACKISH REACTION:  Sorry Mr. Thor, you walked into this.  Y’all may recall that last week my #1 follower was all upset that the Indians suggested the Mets were a Fringe playoff team.  Well, the Mets are 4 back in the Wild Card, kinda showing they can’t hang with the good teams (I know we were told we weren’t allowed to use that narrative When Times Were Good), and the Mets are only 2 games over.  Fortunately, the One True Ace pitches today.

But yeah it’s a long season. Don’t go all Todd Frazier on me Mr. Thor. You walked into it.

I got in at like 8:20 and was like WTF with the score.  I hung for the closing-of-the-deficit, but then was sleepy and just went to bed.

I noticed the LFGM Superfans have left town already and it’s back to just you and me dear reader.  All the people that came at me HARD in early August…where are you…..hello? L F G M?  No?   Bunch of fake phony frauds.

NOT LINKING:  Jerry Seinfeld is a fan of Pete Alonso.  No way.   Also the AAIMBR is also running Mickey out of town.  Mickey recently managed the Mets to winning 20 of 25.  But I’m the negative one.

Speaking of being negative, the newspaper started a Mickey Watch, the and Formerly Mets Blog had a piece about when Stroman was gonna get all acey.   But I’m negative.

In TV News, this week the Mets are on Sunday Night Baseball which is less horrible than usual because we’re all off on Monday.  Next Wednesday’s game is on Youtube only because baseball hates us.  Anyway it will be good for the media to catch up with Baseball Operations Advisor Jessica Mendoza.   Any news on what she and Al Leiter have contributed this season?  Jessica is repped by CAA where Wags used to work.  That’s a coincidence as CAA is a large agency that reps lots of talented people.

THANK YOU for reading Mets Police.  August 2019 is the most read month since Murphtober 2015!   Back then we had Murph, Wright, Cespedes and The Dark Knight!  You weren’t even paying attention to JDG (don’t act like you were, you were all about Matty Baseball.)  A lot can happen in 4 years.  Anyway, thanks for reading, I’m blown away by how well the site has been doing since Gary Apple came along.   If you’re new, welcome, don’t worry, you’ll turn on me as soon as the Mets win 5 straight and everyone decides I’m negative.  I’m not, it’s that everyone else is manic high and then manic low.  LGM.
