Report: Youtube wanted to use Ron Darling tomorrow and SNY said no

The New York Post has an interesting article about Youtube asking Say to use Ron Darling and SNY saying no.

Blue cap tip Andrew Marchand (but man that site won’t load)

I didn’t get to the end of the article because the Post’s website was serving a zillion ads and widgets and stuff and I got bored and X’d out.  But you should read it.

May thoughts:

  • who loses out –  the fans
  • SNY is protecting their own interests.  Why would they want Youtube broadcasts to be successful?
  • SNY’s parent company benefits from Youtube broadcasts being successful, but maybe not as much benefit as they get from an SNY broadcast being successful
  • Just show the games on “TV”
