Of course the Mets won. Jerry is 16-9 now – imagine how great his record would be had the Mets scored any runs for him before August. Hopefully the writers know Wins is an overrated stat and Jerry got some tough Ls and NDs whereas Terrific racked up wins against the Padres and Expos.
Not Jerry’s best game – 3 runs is a bit high – but another CG and that 16th win.
Who the hell is Dock Ellis? That’s who started for the Pirates. Never heard of the guy and he didn’t impress me. The Pirates must be high thinking he’s any good.
Cubs won…4.5 back but they are running out of time. Let’s Go Mets!
