Mets Police Morning Laziness: is this Thor’s last Mets game? Shall I start the Mickey Watch?

The Mets are 5 out with 6 to play.

SLACKISH REACTION:  I had to work last night but when I got in the car I saw they were losing late and….it’s over.

The Newspaper caught up to what I have been saying all month – that Mets fans didn’t really think this was a playoff race, as evidenced by the 21K last night.  If you’re the Mets (and MLB) you need to ask yourselves what you have done to your sport.  If you can’t draw in New York City with the team in it – they were only 1 back not too long ago – and don’t forget the amazing 50 home runs thing…..what have you create.

For me, the answer has been disinterest in the actual baseball part.  I follow “the Mets” all day, but I have little interest in the part between 7-11pm part.

You’re smart.  You’ve been watching this team a long time.  They have clearly skidded the exits for Noah Syndergaard.  No, I won’t be an idiot and suggest that he will be traded to the Yankees, but he will be traded.  The question is – will he take his turn on Sunday or will they let him skip…to get a look at someone else, although I don’t know who someone else is even at this point because of the Former Agent.

There are FIVE aces

There were Five Aces.  Then TDK left.  Now Wheeler and Thor.  So enjoy your JDG, Stroman, Matz and two new guys rotation.   Wags’ got this.

And you know who is taking all the blame for this, right?

I suspect we will quickly go from quiet to full blown Mickey Watch Watch in a hurry today.

For newer readers:  A Mickey Watch Watch watches to see what others are saying about a possible Mickey Watch.

A Mickey Watch is when it seems like he is in actual danger.

A Mickey Warning will be on Sunday when the season is over and The Agent needs cover.

And then the cycle begins again….a press conference with the GM, Jeff and the new manager and Jeff tells us THIS TIME the organization is committed to winning.  All this has happened before and will happen again.
