SLACKISH REACTION: I think Mets’ security took over the lines at the Bagel Store. Even thought it was the A-Team working, it was pretty chaotic in there this morning. The bagels aren’t even hot. Total bust.
There is no Mets news. The Mets have packed it in. The beat has packed it in. The 75 writers at the AAIMBR have packed it in. I guess I should deep dive on eBay to look for stuff, but there’s really nothing.
BASEBALL IS BACK BABY: Forbes is reporting that baseball had it’s all time highest revenues, because baseball is back baby, and more popular than ever. One cannot argue with the dollars and clearly baseball is doing great.

I really loved it. Like all the 7-8-9 sequels it felt like a Star Wars movie. Nothing will match the first watch – holy cow, maybe they did kill off Chewie…that will never have the same impact, just like “hey I wonder if Vader is Luke’s father never resonates the way it did in the schoolyard the way it did back in 1980. I thought they finally nailed what they’ve been trying to get from the Poe character. Threepio had lots of great moments. And a nice neat ending. Did you notice Ben Solo never speaks? Now you will. Nice job team Star Wars.
I can tell the haters are already out…these are the same idiots who are trying to pretend The Last Jedi wasn’t great. We got three good Star Wars movies added on to something we thought was finished. Now, if only the Mets could win the World Series while nicely dressed and someone could fix Star Trek. (Did you see in one of the Short Treks they had the Enterprise-A fighting Khan? Does NOBODY over there know Star Trek??? The Mets laugh at this.)
