The great Todd Radom, who should be in charge of all designs of everything ever, spotted this!
I’m not happy to be at LaGuardia, but I am happy to see a Mets logo with the old school “NY” pic.twitter.com/DY5Rpod6ds

This is amazing. The ability to put a tiny NY in a logo is like the secret of how the ancients built the pyramids. The technology has been lost to man, as evidenced by the current Mets logo.
If only there were some way to reproduce the NY.
Unfortunately there is not. It cannot be done. The technology was lost around the time this monstrosity was created.
But when you mess with nature, the gods strke back, and the reproduction technology to include the tiny NY was lost forever. I was personally told by A Mets Official that it was too hard to reproduce it clean.
So as for this shirt, I assume it has been sitting there unpurchased for decades, waiting for some lonely traveler to buy it. Days turn to years turn to decades, and the last NY logo shirt waits.
Oh, one more thing. Maybe the NY can be reproduced and I should start to nag the Mets to put it back on the logo. As you know ALL I DO IS COMPLAIN so maybe I should get on this kick. What do you think, should the Mets return the NY to the logo? Of course this correct answer is YES but let’s see what Millennials and Gen Z think. Well, the Millennials probably want a free T-shirt, but that’s a whole side conversation.
