NOHTANI: The “he never called” excuse from the Mets

Are we really going with “the agent never called me?”

It’s not like there wasn’t a recent group of meetings in Nashville.

CAA Sports?  Never heard of it.  Does anyone have their secret phone number?

Hello, may I speak to Nez Balelo  please?

Oh, he’s not.  Well, can you tell him Steve called?

….

The Cohen Apologists on this story are really ridiculous.  I thought the whole point of the billionaire was to get Ohtani type player on here.

Now if you want to tell me Ohtani didn’t want to play on the East Coast – well I HAVE BEEN SAYING THAT FOR 2 YEARS.

But at least call.   Find out.  Ask.

I say this as someone that HAS BEEN CONTACTED BY STEVE COHEN.  Steve was motivated enough to tweet at ME…so he can pick up a phone.

OR…hear me out….maybe hire a General Manager to do such menial tasks.

“The agent never reached out to me personally,” Cohen told The Athletic, “and I think that’s pretty telling.” – Ego much?

Let’s hear from the Steve Cohen apologists about Ohtani

already?

So what do you guys have for me?

Ohtani didn’t want to be here?

Former Wilpon Intern David Stearns has improved the bullpen?

It was too much money?

With that much money we can get XYZ?

I thought the entire point of the cool billionaires was that we could do things like this now?

Also, wait until baseball realized that blew their best chance to market the sport and the only potential superstar will be playing at 10pm eastern and thus invisible, just like he’s been the last several years.

Citi Field scent candles

Hey I wish my house would smell like stale beer, green hot dogs and sweaty guys in matching t-shirts.  Fortunately, there is the perfect gift!

I think my favorite part of the product is how much love and care they put into the label.

Oh good thing this Mets jacket is on sale

Good thing this is on sale, otherwise it would be insanely overpriced.

I wish this post could be about all the exciting new players the Mets have but that’s the other New York team   Don’t get mad at me, be mad at Steve and Alex, the Mets owners per the language in recent press releases
