This came out late Friday (I think) but deserves to be seen by all Mets fans so I am reposting it for you to watch while you kill time until 1pm. At around 11 minutes in you’ll seem some very suspect bowling. I’d like to blame the editing but that would be unfair.
Easter and a big game for the Mets
Today is a big game.
Easter is a time of renewal. The dead have risen. Let that be the inspiration for the 2012 Mets. The mainstream media and the militant #choosethemets crowd had their fun all winter, but my Mets are dressing better, winning, and people are showing up (39,526 yesterday!)
It’s a big game. A fast start makes the season easier. Let the other guys chase you for a change. A small lead can become a bigger lead. Then in game 94 when you have to use your emergency starter its not a big deal.
2-1 is nice, 3-0 is way better.
I will be out there again today, and I hope you’ll choose to enjoy baseball. I told you about Duda…
Another great day at Citi Field: Mets win!
It was such a great day I almost accidentally wrote “another great day at Shea!”
The place does feel more like home than it has, and I really like the way the new fence looks. I just spent two hours blogging so I’ll make this a quick post and let the pics do the talking.
At first I was quite worried about the crowd. On Thursday this was filled with buses…
and then I had the crosswalk to myself at around 11. Uh oh.
I hung out with Media Goon and my buddy The Braves Fan
And was happy to see people recognized Goon. Someone must read this blog. There even seem to be Media Goon jerseys in abundance!
It was quite cool in the shade so I loved the giveaway
And despite all the twitter rumors, 39,000 showed up! The back rows of the uppers in the shade were empty, I can’t blame anyone for moving down.
I took lots more pics but I need to go fall asleep on a couch. See you at Citi tomorrow – and I will have a surprise!
