I found out the deal with Mets fireworks night

I spoke with someone in the Mets organization. Fireworks Night will be the same type presentation as the recent Pyrotechnic Nights.  They decided to call it Fireworks Night because people were getting confused by the other title.

I guess the Fireworks Police can nitpick the distinction but whatever – see a baseball game and then stuff will light up in the sky above the stadium.

Tickets are on sale today starting at 10am.  Don’t forget to sell out Banner Day.

Photos from Mets Bowling Night

Here’s some photos from tonight’s Mets Bowling Night via @mets.

I took a bunch and will go through them and post them on Monday.  I have some video of Byrdak’s run at 300 and some details of Mets Blogger Bowling which took place after Mets Bowling.  A fun cool night and I am looking forward to tomorrow…but right now I am too sleepy to blog.

Fireworks night returns to Mets

Interesting to me that it’s “fireworks” and not “pyrotechnics.” The Mets had gone out of their way since moving to Citi to explain the difference.

It’s crazy windy here at the mobile MPHQ under the palm free.

R.A. Dickey’s book, Ike, iced coffee

Check out the story in the Ledger about R.A. Dickey’s writing process.

It seems that the system I am using firmly e-book is the same as his. Ti guess that’s why I enjoyed the article.

I’m heading up to Port St. Lucie in a few hours which hopefully will lead to more inspiration for my own book.

Right now, I ave to drink my iced coffee under a palm tree.

As for the Ike Davis story? Seems like a non-story story. Not that I am dismissive of anyone’s health and well being, but from what I read he is fine. Besides, with Ike and Wright out that makes Murph the starter at three positions. #imwith28
