My tracker caught “EXCLUSIVE: Mets Execs Take Chopper…” blah blah. Exclusive? What? Oh, I see they have exclusive video. Let’s watch the video and then talk. If it renders. (Earlier MLBAM sent out a Mets come on for tickets and I tried to embed it with their embed code but it turns out the embed is blocked and instead instructs you to go to MLB.com….you know what, screw off…I would have posted your ticket sale now I’m not.)

This showed up on the MLB Shop website and a few readers brought it to my attention. I immediately ordered it and several hours later the listing had disappeared from the site.
I expected the order to be cancelled, but when I got home there was a box waiting for me. I wondered what the hell I’d ordered (I tend to forget what I buy) and found this lovely surprise.
In case you’re thinking you’ll outsmart me – the New York Metropolitans lasted from 1880-1887 so it’s not that. The National League was founded in 1876 so it’s not that either.
Nope, me and a bunch of people that also own New England Patriots Super Bowl 46 Champions gear are in luck and we have a rarity…which is cool, because I have been looking for this shirt since the days my buddy Quinn and I used to hang out in his basement.
