Someone Left The Gate Open

Ever wonder who left the gate open? More specifically, ever wonder who it is that sings that infuriating song from the Citi commercial with the woman choosing to climb a rock rather than get engaged?

Random Mets Cap

Here’s a random Mets cap from an interesting store in Manhattan.  There are actually almost five Mets caps in this photo, but I’m referring to the one dead-center that’s the New York Giants style interlocking NY.

(Shannon here…well Ceetar it’s even MORE random. It’s a 1925 Giants cap!. I have one of those even though it is missing. Mre. MP moves things sometimes. If anyone has seen my 1908 Cubs jersey let me know.)

Oddity: Mets on the Citi Field Road Scoreboard?

Here’s a Citi Field oddity that you may never see again.  The New York Mets listed on the out of town scoreboard…and under the American League!  I was not at any of the concerts or soccer games that have occurred at Citi Field, so I can not confirm if they operated the scoreboard for those.  Anyone know?

This was taken during the St. Johns vs. Georgetown exhibition game before Citi Field opened.  New Mets Hall of Fame selectee John Franco threw out the first pitch.  Another weird thing I noticed from the game was the odd clank of aluminum bats.  I don’t have a picture of that though.
