The Baseball Above The Rotunda

Did you know the floor of the Promenade food court above the Rotunda has a baseball logo?

I’ve been surprised by the amount of people I’ve mentioned this to that haven’t noticed.  In 2009 before Big Apple brews was in the middle of it there was no baseball, just a Mets logo.

Why Do The Brooklyn Cyclones Wear Red?

This is a shot of Brooklyn Cyclone’s pitcher Carlos Vazquez delivering a pitch on the road against the Staten Island Yankees.  Why red?

Brooklyn’s official colors are Blue and Gold, so it’s not because of that.

The Brooklyn Dodgers don’t appear to have ever worn red except for one year in 1901.  I don’t think that’s it.

Is it the actual Astroland Cyclone?  Looks like that might be the winner.

Mets Players on Blue Uniforms

Clayton Collier of Mets Merized Online asked a couple of the Mets players what they thought of the Blue Los Mets uniforms.

Hop over there and find out what Dillon Gee, Chris Capuano, Mike Nickeas, and Bobby Parnell think of the uniforms.  Spoiler: It’s mostly positive, but there is one Met that’s going to take a step down in Shannon’s eye.
