Mets Police Morning Laziness: did Joel Sherman put himself in the Martino zone with Mets fans?

SLACKISH REACTION:  Ok need these kids to go to school.  Dad is tired of fixing the internet/DVD player/Playstation/Microwave.  Dad is also annoyed at this whole Cespedes thing.

After watching Twitter all day, it appears to me that Joel Sherman has lost the Mets fans similar-ish to how Andy Martino wrote one too many columns and  lost everyone a few years back, and I don’t think ever recovered with the fans despite what the SNY bosses may think.  Sherman’s Cespedes article has not gone over well.

And then one of the other guys, I think jokingly, made a comment that Thor didn’t tip his cap to Mets fans (on the road.)  I think it was a joke but that didn’t go over well either in the wake of the Cespedes thing.

While we’re in this area, anyone notice The Athletic doesn’t pump out all that much Mets content?  Might have something about that later.  I already have it written just not sure I want to go there.

Did you see the Mets and Yankees go at it on twitter?

As part of project run Dom out of town now they’re hyping whoever Alonso is.

Meanwhile, project run Yo out of town is getting more national attention as the Sherman story spreads.  (NOT LINKING)

THE NARRATIVE:  Wheeler is great, Montero is not.  Surprisingly Thor’s performance isn’t being all that hyped today.

Hey Mick, anytime you want to admit Syndergaard is starting Opening Day that’s fine with me.
