Mets Police Morning Laziness: Why the eff are you trying to turn people on Cespedes?

 

SLACKISH REACTION:  oooh breadcrumbs that Rosario might not be ready for Opening Day.  You know we’re getting 145 games of Jose Reyes.  I’m also not sure why we are starting to run Cespedes out of town, but hey here’s your clicks newspaper.

Anyway, which is it….is Mickey the new Hodges?  You may recall even Howie Rose declared Mickey already had his “Hodges Moment’ (come on Howie) and now we’re hearing Yo and the Frat Five do whatever they want?  Which is it?

Report: Former Mets SP Mike Pelfrey to retire from MLB

 

MLB Trade Rumors says…

Right-hander Mike Pelfrey appears to be moving on from his days on the mound, as Wayne Cavadi of NCAA.com reported recently (thanks to alert reader Alex Hudson for the tip). Pelfrey, who played at Wichita State University and is finishing up his degree there, has agreed to join the baseball coaching staff of another local school, Newman University.

I think we all liked Pelfrey.  Well except for the wacko part of the fanbase that’s never happy.

You look at his 2008-2010, especially that 15-9 for the bad 2010 club and you remember Good Pelf.

He was your 2011 Opening Day starter and tried to be the lead in a Santana-less rotation.

Unfortunately it did not work out for him, and he pitched in a time before we gave everyone super hero nicknames, but I bet had he come along five years later we would have anointed him the Next Someone as well.

Best of luck to you Mike in whatever the future holds.

And if I see someone walking around Citi Field in a Pelfrey jersey I will think to myself – now there is a real Mets fan.   Or it’s likely just Media Goon since he has everyone’s jersey, alt jersey, minor league jersey, game worn jersey, hat, glove, bat, base…

Diamondbacks bringing back bullpen car…Mets should too.

Man what an exciting evening of blogging. Originally THIS was gonna be the big night time post but between Shark Video and Angry Piazza (scroll down the main page kids) this is just #3.

Anyway…

So yeah Mets you should…

With the amount Mickey Hodges is gonna use this bullpen you can get a sponsor who will get 7 mentions a night.  Do it.

And yeah I know the Diamondbacks didn’t have a car and they aren’t bringing back their bullpen car, just the idea of it.  Anyway I got you to click.  Mission accomplished.
