There is a Thor’s Hammer line of bats for some reason

Hey kids, don’t you want to hit like one of the best pitchers in the game?  Well…

The SSK Thor’s Hammer NS34 custom wood bat is the bat of choice for all-star Noah Syndergaard. This Professional Edgewood bat is made from North American Maple and Ash for extreme hardness and durability. The Thor Hammer features a 2.58” extended barrel with a pro cupped end, as well as a 31/32” handle that tapers down to a traditional knob.

Get yours now I guess.

Mets Police Morning Laziness: Rusty Staub Sick, Syndergaard Cocky

“Who is freaking out? People with no baseball expertise? I am not too concerned people saying there is a harm throwing too hard, too early,” Syndergaard told reporters Friday (via ESPN)

Yes Thor.  Me.  Someone with no baseball expertise.  Gonna file this quote away and hope you’re right and I’m wrong.  Oh, and get an MRI next time they ask.  And remember, the norse gods may not, but the baseball gods always humble the cocky.

SLACKISH REACTION:  The power has been out at my place for a day now, and although I have a generator I don’t control Fios, so no internet.  I have sort of service on my phone so you won’t get much blogging from me today.   So let’s blow through this.

Read this one, poor Rusty Staub is not doing well, kidney failure and all.

NOT LINKING:  after a week of “the Mets could do well in a weak division” today we have a “forget it, the Nats are better” in the newspaper.  Let’s just play the games folks.  As I said, I will try my luck with 34 Thor starts.   Oh and depending which article you read, JDG is fine or he is going to miss Opening Day.  Remain calm.

Gonna get out and use my data on other stuff.  LGM.

Mets bust themselves violating rule 4.06 again

Guys guys guys…we have RULES.  Mickey you need to read the rules to everyone if we’re going to have NY Post covers of you in a sheriff hat.   The team is blatantly doing whatever it wants with no discipline!

Read the first sentence.   Mickey you start looking the other way on this, next guys are taking selfies (oops too late), then they start wearing illegal undershirt and that’s a slippery slope to wearing first responder caps and MLB will have none of that.

Mets Police Morning Laziness: If we can’t trust Bobby Cox, who can we trust?

SLACKISH REACTION:  WTF is broadcasting in Northwest Queens on 87.7?  I was driving around late las night and this MF thing was stepping all over my modulator which was set to 87.9.  So not only are you on a frequency you probably shouldn’t be on, your GD signal is stepping on the next channel up.  Did you hear me screaming DIE DIE DIE at my radio?   Was out until 12:30.  Mets Police doesn’t like being up late.   And GFY FRD traffic at midnight.

NOT LINKING:  Something about Vargas.  Mets may have found themselves a leadoff hitter with a picture of Cabrera.  Swarzak has a strained left calf.  Bobby Cox says Harvey looks good.  Could Lugo be a swingman? Look how much time I saved you.  That’s how the Not Linking works.

METS STUFF:  I think it’s quiet.  I know I just blew through ten stories there but I don’t care about any of them.   People seem very excited about Matt Harvey.  Here we go again.

Mickey Hodges says Mets’ Jay Bruce knows the game of baseball

Jay Bruce knows the game of baseball, says the next Hodges.  That’s good, as the Mets plan to play baseball.  Terry did not bring this sort of advanced analytics to Queens.  The Next Hodges though, he knows when someone knows baseball.

Hey, slow news day, I gotta mock something.

Also, anyone notice the blues look darker for some reason in every pic this spring?

Oh and I don’t even know what the hell the Mets are talking about here…
