My buddy Mike from GooglingGod mentioned Doug Flynn’s dog to me…..
Woody looks like he was a cool cool dog. Mike also pointed me toward these t-shirts!
That got me wanting to google “Tom Seaver dog” to see what might pop=up (Flynn came over in the Seaver deal) and of all things that came up was this picture of Greg from Faith and Fear! Well Greg, since I labeled the pic “seaver dog” you will forever be associated with The Franchise’s Puppy on the intertubes.
And with this…we are one post closer to Opening Day!

You will notice the Mets Police Ticket Widget has been tweaked by our partners at TiqIq- it’s now more Promenade focused. Yes you can still buy tickets in any section available, but it bugged me staring at the “average” price which factored in the millionaire seats.
Now you’ll get a better handle on what it will cost to get cheap guys like me in the park.

Today’s split-squad game vs. the Nationals is on TV and radio. Oliver Perez is scheduled to pitch in that game in relief of Capuano.
Dan Murphy starts at 2B vs the Nationals, Eamus starts at 2B in the other game.
TODAY’S METS STARTER (vs. Nats) :LHP CHRIS CAPUANO will make his third spring start today…He tossed 5.0 shutout innings allowing two hits with four strikeouts in a minor league game on March 13… Capuano allowed two runs on five hits over4.0 innings in a no-decision vs. Washingtonon March 8…He pitched 3.0 innings on March 2 vs. St. Louis yielding three hits andone run with four strikeouts…Capuano, 32,went 4-4 with a 3.95 ERA in 24 appearanceslast year with the Milwaukee Brewers…Hewas 3-3 with a 4.14 ERA in nine starts and 1-1 with a 3.54 ERA (eight earned runs/20.1innings) in 15 relief outings…Capuano, a former All-Star, is 46-52 with a 4.35 ERA in148 career major league games, 125 starts. In other news…
Cerrone says the Mets said the all green O’Met cap (which as a person of Irish descent I could argue is racist – go ahead and tweak the image like that on some other days and watch what happens) will not be for sale.
Speaking of racism….on twitter it has been discovered that Mets fans are racist in one way. Mets fans hate second basemen. You guys didn’t like Kent, Kaz, Alomar, Castillo and even booed Jefferies.
Tonight’s goals: release Castillo on MLB2K10 (no typo, I don’t play enough to get a new one every year, my free time goes to finding alternate caps to post) and to wonder why Terry doesn’t start Shark (he of the 99 fastball and great curve) more often in real life.
