Sherman suggests all-out Mets fire-sale is the way to go

Interesting read that proposes trading…well, anyone you have heard of.

But the two executives felt even a stripped-down version of the Mets still would draw no worse than two million spectators to Citi Field. ….

“Banks like to see operating profits over losses and it also would eliminate the need to plug holes in operating costs, which is what forced them to seek extra loans from Major League Baseball.”

2 million?  They drew 2.6 last year…do you think the Mets could fall below that number?  Be logical not emotional.

Rain in PSL today for Mets game?

Heads up, if you’re planning on killing a rainy Sunday in NYC with some TV action later…

8 a.m.: The Red Sox and Mets may or may not play their scheduled game in Port St. Lucie on Sunday afternoon. Thunderstorms are in the forecast putting the game in jeopardy. If the two teams do get things off, the Sox will do so without Jon Lester.

We have an updated page if you’re interested in purchasing tickets on the secondary market, and it now includes Spring Training games.

As always, the Mets Police encourage you to support the Mets in all ways including financially.  If you save a few bucks on tickets why not reinvest those savings in a treat for yourself like a nice blue Mets cap with no black on it.
