Zimmo!  Mets to leave WAHwah WOR for WCBS-AM?

Cool!  WCBS happens to be my favorite radio station, and hopefully it will not have WAHwah during games.   Also hopefully the fine engineering department at WCBS can work with MLBAM to finally end the tyranny of LOUD COMMERCIALS on the MLB App.

Sorry WOR, you had your chances and you can’t act like I didn’t alert you to either issue. #Imwith88

The Mets are closing in on a deal to air their games on 880 WCBS AM next season and for the foreseeable future, sources have told The Post.

A variant of this rumor would put the Mets on 102.7.  I am doubly down with FM as it is the 21st century and the AM band sounds like crap.

David Wright played baseball Friday. How did he do?

It’s surprisingly not easy finding David Wright updates.  The St. Lucie account barely mentions him.  Fortunately, I found Bill Whitehead.

8th inning? Looks like DW is playing more and more!

David finished up 1 for 4 and played all 9 innings. I can’t wait for him to send Soft Todd Frazier to the bench. Come back soon Captain!

OMG Check out Soft Todd Frazier’s Player’s Choice Toddfather Shoes

Thank Todd I am already blocked because….

Cool.

Holy crap, he doesn’t actually think these shoes are the least bit cool does he?

I apologize in advance if these shoes are for the Todd Frazier Tries To Cure Childhood Cancer Fund or something, but if they are just shoes the thinks are cool…..hooboy….

Harvey Days: In a battle between a Net Negative and The Dark Knight who wins? You’ll look at my recap!

Well it was a beautiful beach day, so I went to the beach.  I like TDK Posts and all but it’s August 24th and it has rained for am month so if you think I was staying in to blog about Matt you are crazy.

There was talk of the Brewers trading for Matt but they did not….and I guess trade waivers are over now….so it is Skyline Chli and Jenny the Waffle Hut Waitress until October 1st for Matty Baseball.

When I did get home it was the 6th inning and the Cubs had 0 runs on 67 pitches!

I see The Real Deal has 6Ks and one hit as we head to the 6th…let’s join Harvey Days, already in progress!

Oh yeah, it’s nicknames day and Matt “Harv” Harvey took a one hitter into the bottom of the 6th.  I immediately jinxed him and the leadoff hitter got a hit!

Ok still not bad…two hits thru 5+….wait another guy just got  hit.  Now there are two on.  Anyway who’s up next…

UH OH…..anyway Murph isn’t that good, right Gare?  We should have a meeting….

OK the Reds have a plan on how to deal with this hitter….

Oh wait, the only guy who is better is the guy who was the MVP and won the World Series?  That’s interesting Gare….anyway back to the game

Murph takes Strike 1!!!

It’s 2 and 2 to Murph and…..

Uh oh….wait the runner stopped at third!   Bases loaded!!!  That’s not good!

The next guy also got a hit….the Cubs seems to play one base at a time….score all tied…..

They’re gonna come get me aren’t they….

….yes, yes they are….

And that was it for Matt, and a nice quick TDK Recap Post for me as I caught the good part just in time.  I even kept the Cubs game on so I could watch Murph!

The Reds Bullpen Guy (also known as a reliever) somehow got out of it, so MH only gave up one run not the four I thought we were heading for.

The Read Deal finishes 5.1ip, 5 hits, 1 run, 6Ks.  Should have been better as he was cruising with a relatively low pitch count.  I would have expected 7 today.

As we have seen all season, and the last two seasons, Harv is fine until he faces adversity, and then tends to melt down.  He has clean frames and disasters.  Not too many where he works out of trouble.

Maybe he would be best cast as an 8th inning guy who starts clean innings, then leaves the drama for the closer.  I am serious on this point.

Anyway, enjoy summer in Cincinnati Matt, you are stuck there for the duration.

Now should I get Harv and Murph players choice jerseys on the random teams they find themselves on just for the randomness 10 years from now?  I probably should.
