This is a good read.  Matt Harvey is mentioned.

I wish to be clear that I am not trying to backhandedly suggesting something here.  You should read the very lengthy article, I am just isolating the Harvey paragraph because Matt Harvey is a notable figure in Mets history.

The Washington Post mentions:

Pitcher Matt Harvey, Skaggs’s teammate, later admitted after being given legal immunity that a few days before the Texas road trip he gave Skaggs several pills marked “K56” containing oxycodone,which was what investigators found in his backpack and his toxicology report. (Harvey declined to comment.)  (via WashPo)

The fine folks over at Media Goon shared this survey from the Mets.

I think the Mets are missing out on the Friday 1:10pm option.  If you’ve ever done a summer Friday afternoon game at Wrigley you  understand how awesome that can be.  I continue to encourage the Mets to try that time at least once per summer.

For someone who is supposedly a big Nets fan, Mr. Met is awfully late on this.  Welcome to the party, pal.

Oh well, they used to be cool to have.

I saw Media Goon said some nice things about yesterday’s sort-of Mercury Mets celebration, but like with so many things in Queens the Wilpons and Cohens waited too long.  This should have been done in  2019 or 2021.  Well, it should have been an annual goof.  I’d say better late than never, but I am not so sure.

The Wilpons never did this.

Just remember you too, you’re still the owners when things aren’t on a hot streak, so don’t get snippy when the wind starts changing.
