We’re picking up some interesting items after a very quiet morning. General Lukas had this the other day, and you can see the full ad on Easy. You can even buy the ad if you want.
Here’s a taste..
I think I may have posted this before a few years back. Definitely posted something similar. I’m probably experiencing Metsmento again, will check with @mediagoon.
As you may know, David Wright often violates MLB rule 1.11(a)(2) which states
Any part of an undershirt exposed to view shall be of a uniform solid color for all players on a team.
And why this should be taken seriously is
No player whose uniform does not conform to that of his teammates shall be permitted to participate in a game.
That undershirt needs to be either heather grey or the team’s primary color, which in this case is blue. David often wears a non-matching orange t-shirt. It looks great, but it’s against the rules.
Uniform enforcement is of paramount importance to guys like Joe Torre, so I am surprised that this is allowed to go on. What’s next, rogue players wearing first responder caps?
Anyway, the Mets are celebrating this rule infringement in an interesting way.

Yes, it’s a slow news day. Relax.
Thanks to Eric for the heads up, I was about to dive into the Alternate Caps pool.
Inclusive green cap hat tip to @sportslogonet for tweeting this one out.
Right, right. Yeah, because the jersey I would really want is a mid-’70s, Dave Kingman Mets jersey, because he was my first favorite baseball player.
I would love to be able to do that for people. It’s a conversation that we have had and continue to have because on our website we get a lot of requests: “This was my dad’s favorite player. Is there any way I can get that jersey made?”
The other issue with that is getting the rights from the players, because of course this person has to get their royalty. They all make money from the sales of their jerseys, so when it’s a one-off player the process of signing a deal with the player is a pretty elaborate thing. There’s a couple challenges there.
