Jim Breuer compares his love for the Mets to being in an abusive relationship with an alcoholic.
You could own this Mets shirt: Madoff in Mets font
You know you want one. Here. (Dang, thought I posted this the other day when DJ sent it in.)

Thanks to DJ for the tip.
Video: Mets Dan Murphy with Colactus
This video is from a week ago, but Junior had a 7:30am soccer game this morning.
Should the Mets build a social media room like the Devils did?
This one might mainly interest my fellow bloggers but…holy cow, the Devils have created a social media room at The Rock. Let’s watch the video, then discuss.
First of all, I like that the NHL has this fancy “embed” technology that MLB Advanced Media does not use.
I really can’t believe the Devils have built such a room. 25 fans, computers, and some TVs. I’m blown away.
That being said, I don’t need one at Citi Field. Some of my fellow bloggers may disagree, but when I head out there I want to, you know, attend a baseball game. I’m not a reporter. I don’t want to sit in the Verizon Blogger Center writing things during the third inning, and I don’t want to stick around after the game filing blogs.
Do I want credentials? I don’t think I do. Then I’d have to use them. I don’t want to head out there every night and talk to David Wright. That’s now what I do.
Now, the occassional hook-up from the Mets? Last year they invited the bloggers on the field, twice I think (I did one of the events). I am not going to lie to you, yeah of course that is way cool. Would I have liked to gotten a preview of the museum before it opened? Yeah, absolutely. An invitation to Lee Mazzilli Day? You betcha. Is it cool when they send me some photos to share with you guys – yep. Post-game notes? Awesome.
I think what the Devils did is pretty neat though, and I’m definitely “pro.” I’d be curious what you guys think?
Rich’s Mets pictures from Port St. Lucie
It’s crazy for me to think that next Saturday I will be in PSL with The Braves Fan (we’re doing some home and home at PSL and Orlando) but it’s cool to think about.
Rich is down there now and sent over some photos. Click on any for a bigger image.
