The Yankees are #15 and the Phillies #16.
That got me thinking. The Mets are on the way to being one of those loser franchises that talks about a championship that happened last century. If Phillies fans bust out a 19-80-6 chant what could we say?
Once the franchise had won 2 rings in it’s first 25 years. Now it’s 2 in the first 48. The Marlins laugh at that.

We’ve been poking around Angel’s collection of Mets yearbooks. Â ’76 we’d expect something Bicentennial right? Â Belive em in 1976 Bicentennial was HUGE. Â Everything was Bicentennial. Â I mean EVERYTHING. Â See that 76 on Mr. Met’s jersey…that particular 76 font was all over the place.
I’ve made it my life goal to be at the Tricentennial which will put me into my 100’s…however maybe I’d like to be around for 2086 so I can bitch about the 100th anniversary patches in one last post before I croak. Â I’ll be the one guy who gives a crap about the 1986 team. Â Oh wait, I think I was on Sunday. Â KIDDING relax.
I actually like this better than anything we’ve seen since 1968.
