Is anyone else bored with articles that point out that the Mets are playing better at home and/or “the Mets need to play better on the road?”
Much more interesting is that the Mets plan to honor the first Vendorette!
What Mets fans talk about when not talking about the actual games.

Yesterday I mentioned I’d like to have a nice looking Mets jacket. Â One once existed at some point this century (there were lots of them last century). Â However the link is dead. Â Find this.
Majestic do you have one hidden in a storage closet you could sell me?
I feel bad for Murphy, the 2009 Mets leader in home runs.
It’s a long long way to April and he won’t have a position when he returns.
He was an exciting player in his brief time and I will teasure my Murphy t-shirt as time goes on and it gets more random.
I have nothing to add that won’t be said better 50 other places but I have a blog and I wanted to say I will miss him.
I’m coaching little league.
Junior takes a perfect game into the bottom of the last.
The umpire blows a call.
I go out and plead my case but lose because in the history of pleading one almost never wins.
Junior gets the next kid out and we all congratulate him.
Later at the ice cream truck the 15 year old umpire walks over to Junior and says he blew the call and he’s really sorry and wow what a game that was.
I say “thanks Blue” and we all eat ice cream.
That’s how you teach your children to be good sports.
We saw a rare case of that with adults these last 24 hours. I applaud everyone.
Great one-hitter. Put it in the books. Be proud.
