Today’s alternate Mets cap is purple with a black NY. On the face of things, it’s a no…but I think the right kind of woman could pull this off.

If you are of a certain age Ron Hodges was a mysterious Met. He had been on the team “forever”, and was always the backup. Was he Gil Hodges’ son? His brother? (no and no).
Ron is so mysterious that the Mets retired his #42 and the team honors him by having all players wear 42 (with no names on the back) every year on Ron Hodges Day, April 15th.
