THE 2016 QUEENS BASEBALL CONVENTION OFFICIALLY CANCELLED
Focus shifts towards planning 2017
Organizers of the 2016 Queens Baseball Convention – originally scheduled for January 23 but postponed due to the blizzard that pounded the Northeast – announced today that efforts to reschedule the annual event will be suspended.
“We looked at several different options – both for dates and venues – but the logistics of rescheduling everything never really worked out” according to co-organizer Keith Blacknick.
“Our focus now will turn to planning and scheduling the 2017 QBC, which we know will be bigger than any we have had to date” added Blacknick’s partner Dan Twohig.
Blacknick and Twohig expect to announce initial plans later this summer.
ABOUT THE QBC
The Queens Baseball Convention was created as a mid-winter gathering of fans of baseball, held in
Queens. Our design is a combination of “Fan Fest” meets “Comic Con.”
The spirit of the day is for the fans to get together, celebrate baseball in Queens, and to bring the kiddies and bring the wife.
