Sandy Alderson Answers You

The Mets have really been embracing the internet and the fans lately. GM Sandy Alderson answered questions sent in from the “Flushing Flash” and Twitter by Mets fans today. MetsBlog.com has  a transcript of the questions and you can find them here. I am just going to post one question here. To see the rest go to MetsBlog. As Shannon always says, honor among bloggers.

Asked about his plan for the Mets two and three years out, Alderson said:

“There has to be an overall vision. There has to be a set of goals which allow is to fulfill that vision, and then you have to execute those goals on a consistent basis. We want to win, and be a consistent winner My definition of a winner is a little broader – we want to win, but known for how we win, how to go about things. Pitching is important, and offense needs to improve. Infrastructure is important. We’ve really built out the front office infrastructure down through player development. Plan is to be a winner on a consistent basis, and in order to do that is to be able to rely on a solid infrastructure. Consistency and excellence across the board on the baseball side.”
