Doubleheader…good job by Atlanta (and bad for Mets)

Good morning!  I have to run out and “do some sports” (and get some Unnamed Donuts Chain action) but….

The Mets are complaining about the doubleheader. I think Atlanta is smart to make them play today.  They know the Mets’ pitching is in disarray and it’s not Atlanta’s problem.  Goon mentioned this last night or read Rubin for more.

I read the article quickly (while Mrs. MP talking to me) but it seems Young is being more cool than alarmist.  I don’t think he’s saying he can’t pitch, I think what he’s saying is “fellas, don’t let me leave you hanging – I don’t feel like I have 9 in me).

The 4pm game is on Fox and the “7:40” game is on SNY.  I know where I will be whille it pours rain.

Oh, Gooden got probation.

  1. If the Mets pitching can’t handle a double header, they should probably just contract the team.
