The return of The A’s Police

Last night I was staring at the gold uniforms, wishing I had 3G, when I remembered the fun A’s Police tantrum I threw last summer after none of you backmans showed up at Mets HOF day.

I finally figured out why the gold uniforms look bad. The gray pants. With white they look nice, and they look fun on civilians, but they look awful on players from Oakland on the road.

The A’s play in Philly next. Do you think there’s some old curmudgeony Philly A’s fan who is going to dust off his blue cap and his Jimmie Foxx jersey to go see his team? I would love to shake that man’s hand!

Anyway, lots to catch up on from last night since I couldn’t post a darn thing from Citi. I think it’s pretty clear that Verizon kicks AT&T’s tail I that park. I should have AT&T sponsor my dopey site so the parallel with Metsblog powered by Verizon holds.

Here’s some A’s Police for ya…

Who can forget the great Billy Taylor for Izzy trade?

Or the time Ronnie pitched in the playoffs?

Or one of the great backup catchers of all time?

Yep that’s definitely Mike. Looks just like him!

..

Keep scrolling down and on to “Page 2” – there are a lot of pictres from last night and some have been knocked off the main page

  1. My wife noticed the gold tops when I had the game on last night. I said the exact same thing about the grey pants, and she agreed. The bright gold and the dull grey clash too much (as opposed to the Mets’ black on dull grey which just looks dingy).
