This date in 1986: Lee Mazzilli returns to the Mets

25 years ago today was one of the great days in New York Mets history.

The great Lee Mazzilli returned from exile to join the 1986 Mets and win a World Series.

Sure he was wearing a strange number (13) that never seemed right, but Lee was back and all was OK in the world.
