Met’s/McDonald’s Buy One Get One Tix

Great way to get casual fans in the ball park, but again I am hearing gripes from Plan holders and former plan holders. Guys, figure out a way to throw the plan holders a bone already. I do have to give credit for them doing a 20 game plan holder Q and A for the kids. The kids had fun and it is a great way to build a generation or two of Mets fans….Okay back to the point at hand…

I got this message from a former plan holder.

They announced it on tv today and I went to my local McDonalds and got them, It is good for all games except the Red Sox and Yankee series. Another reason why I did not renew my 10 PACK this season.

I have gotten FREE tickets thru the kids club for 2 of my sons, discounted tickets thru the Dunkin Donuts offer, and $5 tickets thru the 66% off offer. Which was a bait and switch. At first they allowed you to purchase them at the box office without fees and then changed it to being an online and phone offer only.

Another special offer I got is a discount on a pack of Viagra, I can buy Sildenafil for $ 1 a pill.

(Goon here…I do know some people who bought the tickets with 66% offer at the box office and it changed as of Tues)

My rep keeps trying to sell me a plan and I keep telling her no

I had the same rep for 9 years and he left before last season. My new rep is …well…not easy to deal with.

(Goon again. The reps I have dealt with in the ticketing dept, have been really cool with me. Usually it’s not their fault with stuff happening and they try their best to make things work. I am hearing some stories though about how some reps are harder to deal with.)

BUY ONE TICKET AND GET ONE TICKET FREE TO SEE THE METS PLAY AT CITI FIELD.

Offer is valid on all June through October 2015 regular season games excluding Red Sox Series (Aug. 28-30), Subway Series (Sept. 18-20), and Postseason Games. Offer valid on Baseline Box, Left Field Landing and Promenade Outfield seats, based on availability. Not valid on previously purchased tickets. No double discounts.

Quick look.

McDonalds Buy One Get One Offer 111 27 10 $61.00
McDonalds Buy One Get One Offer 111 27 11 $61.00
Per Ticket Fee ($7.25 per ticket): $14.50
Ronald McDonald House Donation: ($1.00 per ticket): $2.00
Total Convenience Fee for 2 Tickets:$16.50
Price for 2 Tickets:$138.50
Total Handling Fee:$6.00
Current Amount Due:$144.50

Now a quick break down, you can only get these tix online…So you are forced to pay the $7.25 convenience fee per ticket and the $6.00 Handling fee,( The donation is a non factor. I like giving to charity), so you are FORCED to pay these fees. So how is this convenient???

*UPDATE* I said that you couldn’t redeem at the box office but I am now told you can-

ldr2112-The McDonalds offer can be taken advantage at the Box Office without FEES with a Coupon that you have to present from McDonalds. If you go to the box office and ask for the offer without the Coupon they will not allow you to take advantage of it.

You can google Mets/McDonald’s to get the offer.

  1. The McDonalds offer can be taken advantage at the Box Office without FEES with a Coupon that you have to present from McDonalds. If you go to the box office and ask for the offer without the Coupon they will not allow you to take advantage of it.

  2. It is only select seating areas. I don’t think it affects plan holders that much. I am a season ticket holder and it really does not bother me because it is limited to certain seating. Of course if I had those locations in a plan I would not be happy.
