That’s how much a pair of seats from Yankee Stadium are going to cost according to Mike Roznac of Authentic Stadium Seats whom I spoke with earlier today:
“They haven’t made the official announcement yet, but that’s what my sources have been telling me. $1,923 – to commemorate the opening of the stadium in 1923.
The old wooden seats from 1923 and also the 1940’s sell currently for $2000 and we fully expect that price to shoot to $2500-3000 each based on the history behind the nostalgic wooden seats versus the modern plastic seats.”
What’s amazing is that even in the current market, with Wall Street tanking, the demand for these seats is expected to be through the roof.
