Since the conclusion of our season, Ownership, Jerry Manuel, his coaches and our entire baseball operations staff have had laser focus in determining the best course of action to return to the postseason in 2009. Clearly upgrading our bullpen was at the top of our list and today we took a giant step forward in our off-season plan by acquiring righthanded relief pitcher Francisco Rodriguez.
