The Apple (Real One) In Its New Home

This morning I have a cool Mets blog for you from Dana Brand, one of the folks behind the upcoming 50th Anniversary of the Mets conference that they want to do an Hofstra (we hope the Mets Police are invited).

From there we got the cool picture of The Real Apple in its new home.   It looks like they gave it a nice spot.   I’m glad it made the trip.  You can read all about the apple here.

If any idiots vandalize it I will personally arrest them.

Dana also ranked the Mets seasons according to fun – this was back in December – and correctly realizes that 1984 was way more fun than 2000.

  1. The Mets Police will certainly be invited to the Hofstra conference! Everybody, in fact, is going to be invited (it will be wide open to the public) and I am particularly committed to making sure that the vital culture of Mets bloggers is well-represented on panels and presentations. We’ll eventually have a website for the conference, and there should be a big publicized official announcement next month, but people can check on my blog from time to time for up-to-date information. There will also be events at Hofstra, beginning this fall, leading up to the conference.

  2. I’m probably too easily amused, but the fact that you will personally arrest any vandals and the blog is called Mets Police made me chuckle. Well-played, sir. Well-played.
