Johnson and Santana were both great. This was one of those “sometimes you lose” games. So far the Mets have had poor luck, but they haven’t stunk up the joint yet. Remain calm.

Come on Shannon. You can tag Murphy for that loss. Sure he made an error (and it resulted in two unearned runs) but how about Ryan Church leaving the tying run on third in the ninth? How about Carlos Beltran grounding into a DP in the eighth? Murphy’s error was costly, but the loss wasn’t his “fault.”
