It’s time to start worrying about a slow start and worrying about the pitching and a team that should be better than 4 and 5. I’ve been defending them that they’ve been hanging in games and haven’t really turned in a stinker…but they aren’t winning either. Go look at the Bobby V teams…slow starts make for a long year, and finishing one game short is in this team’s blood.
John Maine was awful again. 6 runs in 5 innings.
Mets fans can relax on Santana day, then Pelfrey might be hurt, Ollie is crazy, Maine has nothing, and suddenly Livan is Mr. Reliable based upon the spring and one start.
Mets fans are likely to start asking about Four Inning Pedro. Don’t. He’s useless. You Mets Police Newbies should read this before mentioning his name to me….although he was very nice to Dan’s mom.
Jerry Manuel continues to work K-Rod aggressively….Frankie pitched the 9th with the Mets trailing!
I noticed a fair amount of empty seats…especially late in a one run game. Did people leave early?
Paid attendance 39,585. You’d think they’d be sold out every night with a new park with fewer seats. Maybe people will come out to boo Willie.
Oh well.
