Treat yourself to some of the old All-Star Games on the MLB network.
Some quick observations:
Players were a lot smaller (duh….and there’s one current player being extra celebrated this week, and while his numbers are excellent, I won’t be the least bit surprised if his name eventually is on some sort of list.)
The 1971 Mets road uniform with the slightly darker blue looked great on Buddy Harrelson. As I’ve mentioned before it is time for Buddy to return to Shea er um The Field.
I noticed the different style of wind-up Marichal and Palmer had. Very wide and open…glove practically touching their sock when they do a high leg kick. I wonder why that style has left the game?
