Touring New York Mets Citi Field Third Base Side (At The Paul McCartney Concert)

As I mentioned yesterday, the crowd at the McCartney concert had a different flow than a Mets game does, so I was able to notice some things that I hadn’t previously.  These were new to me, not necessarily new.

Right off the escalator on the main level, hang a left and you will find the Subway.

No $5 footlongs at The Field.

Across from Subway is this photo of Ebbett’s Field.  Ok, we get it, you like the Dodgers.  Put this in the rotunda and use this wall space for some Mets stuff.

Much like on third base, they have the lineup posted. This was taken Saturday night, and the pitcher was listed as Pelfrey so I think it was Friday’s lineup….

…or the lineup from the last home game.  I’m guessing that the Mets logo is either in place of Church, or they haven’t ordered a Francouer banner yet.

The main level left field corner seems to be a bottleneck, so Saturday was the first time I noticed the Zeppole stand….

…and next to the Zeppole stand is this beer stand.

  1. Regarding the Ebbets Field photo: I might agree, except that next to the photo (on either side, if I remember) are the entrances to the Ebbets Club.

I had a chance to sit in those great seats during the second exhibition game against the Red Sox back in April ($50 each…a bargain).
