Thanks to Laura for catching this one!  Note you get a “Mets ballpark” tin not a Citi Field tin.  Interesting.

From today’s mets.com mass-email:

The first 25,000 fansthrough the gates on Citi Field on Sunday, August 16, get a Mets ballpark tinand great Sunday afternoon of Mets baseball!

  1. I'm sure the tin will play better and fairer than the current minor-league Dodger ripoff of a park that's named after a bank.

  2. good. where is the "Mets" ballpark? it doesn't seem like the one you have to visit in order to get one of these tins is a "Mets" ballpark.

  4. I figured out why the name of the tin is generic. Whoever is sponsoring the ballpark tin doesn't want to do a free ad for CitiBank by saying: "Get a CitiField tin." Afterall, if you're the CEO of Sponetech, do you want CitiBank/CitiField to get the attention?
