Throwback Mockup With More Mets-like Font

Thanks to Sparks for messing around and mocking up this what-if jersey.  A jersey in the style of the throwback, but with more of a Mets type font.

So the next logical progression might be something in the style of the throwback but with this kind of NY on the breast….

I worry about comparisons to the Yankees…but maybe if it were pinstripe-less it might be an ok look.

Unrelated – I was trying to find a version of a white jersey with an NY on the breast (I know I’ve seen them) and I stumbled across this on Dick’s Sporting Goods website.

What does everyone think about the return of blue?  I liked them back in the early 80s.

Those new to the party may want to check out the uniform survey the Mets did earlier in the year.

Update:  I found what I was looking for.  Might we wind up with something along the lines of this?
